Archie...

Yeh so since January when we went to Deep Impact, on the way there Archie (the car) decided to stop regulating the air temp output in the car. Was awful. Basically meant that whenever you were in the car for more than like 10 mins you started to boil alive (unless you opened the windows, and yes if you wanted to not die of heat that included opening them even tho it was pouring outside)

But when i was home over the Easter Break my dad being the amazing man that he is sorted him out... but he had to figure out what the prob was before being able to get the 'bit' to repair him... so this is Archie mid-operation. lol.

Deep Impact =)

Soooooo yeh. I got back last night after another long drive... Went up to Aviemore in the Highlands on Friday in order to attend a Youth work conference there called Deep Impact. I've always really enjoyed these conferences partly because it's a great chance to meet other youthworkers/leaders 'n share experiences and ideas, partly because it's a great opportunity to learn something new and be challenged to perhaps think differently, even out of the box you've made for yourself, about how we do youthwork... BUt this year was special coz we had a really gd speaker who really challenged us in our own faith. Kenny Borthwick is actually part of the team that speaks at Clan Gathering (a Christian Conference I normally go to in the summer) and so i've heard him talk quite a few times... But I think that this is very probably the first time we've had a main speaker like him at Deep Impact. Certainly since i've been going...

So it was a wonderful weekend... i've come home refreshed, exhausted, challenged and inspired all in one big scoop. And its a good feeling if i'm honest...

Just a shame i've still got this stupid cold. Its driving me nuts. I even had to leave the main session yesterday coz I was having a coughing fit and jsut couldn't stop. grrrr. hopefully it'll go away soon. =(

Shattered...

Had a really good weekend... the conference was miles better than i thought it was going to be (yes i was having pessimistic tendancies about it before i went) and it was helpful and inspiring, and yeh, it was good... am hopeful that the church will also encourage other youth leaders to go next time...

It's been manic trying to catch up since though... *eeek* which kinda sucks if i'm honest. But it's ok really...
today especially was just prep prep prep followed by work all night... and i mean all night... 6:30pm - 11pm... craziness... but it was a good night though so i'm not going to complain, and I feel that Glenshee is soooo much more organised now... so yeh. Happier. Am still knackered though... and plenty to be getting on with tomorrow...

am sleepy...
