Sorry Cola, still haven't posted your letter... but i plan to go out for a walk soon... so i will do it today at some point.
Just got my 'Cool Runnings' DVD - classic!!! So i think i'll be watching that tonight ;-) Plus I've cleaned my room... looking the cleanest it has in abbout 2 months... haven't attempted any ironing yet though, and i am now resorting to wearing creased tops - not good... so that might be my task as I watch cool runnings later.....
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooooooooh... and my mum texted me to tell me she now has my new fone (upgrade) which is coooooooooooool it's a 7250i :-) all good... although a slight problem being that i'm not going to get it for like 2 weeks or something until my parents come down - bit of a bummer that... argh. ah well... things to do...

Went to see the passion again last night... i reckon it affected me more the second time... Has also highlighted something which i'm trying to logically think through - argh theology, what fun.........

Other than that i'm just pretty tired... but today is just a prep day... and i'll have to go for a walk at some point to get some random pieces of food and post Cola's letter, which I wrote on Sunday and STILL haven't posted - sorry :-S

Just finishing off my essay and checking it over for the last time. Worked really hard on it on Saturday and managed to get it all down on paper, and then had to spend a while cutting it down coz i'd written too much. 'twas cool though... A couple of us went to see the 'Station Agent' that night too... was very funny - hehehehe...
Anyway - I need food before I go to Caslemilk, so i should go... time is escaping me! doh!

Mmmmmmmmmm... I bought mini chocolate cake from ASDA last night, and between Kathryn, Zoe and myself we totally devoured it!!! *shame* Was gooooooood though... Why can't we have an ASDA nearby :-( We just have stinky Tesco or Sainsbury's... doh! Ah well...
The Library is a bit more sane this morning. We ended up going to see the midnight showing of 'Dawn of the Dead' last night... was quite good actually... although, mum, it really wasn't your kind of film - hehehehe... Ooooooooh and I bought the 'The Passion of the Christ' soundtrack... hopefully it'll arrive soon :-)
Anyway - i suppose i should go and do some more of this essay... need more motivation!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Zoe is buzzing around the library disturbing everyone... how terrible - hehehehe... Ah well... I've had a very long and busy day and i'm pretty tired to be honest... and wait for it *NEWS FLASH!* I helped a girl at the assylum seekers group this afternoon to cook chocolate brownies... although I don't think they had enough chocolate in them myself ;-) The guys at the assylum seekers group were great this afternoon. We're all going on a trip to the 'time capsule' next week where they'll get the chance to either go swimming or go ice-skating.. i'm really looking forward to it... although if i'm knackered after spending only 2 hours with these kids, then I dread to think what it'll be like after 6 hours... eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek... Anyway - if i don't end up in bed early, i'm gonna have to do this essay!

well... 1000 words or so down on the latest 2000 word essay... although once i've written it all i think i'm going to have to refine it quite a bit... but i'm glad i've managed to right so much though... it's a bit daft though because so much of it is repeated from the essay I had to do last week... I love cut and paste *wink* although don't worry, i am amending and refining so it fits like a glove!

Anyway - got a stinky resident meeting I should be at at the moment - doh!

well... the passion of the Christ... what can I say?? The answer to that is, not much. It left me stunned - enough said.

I didn't get any of my essay done yesterday, but luckily I have nothing at either placement today, which means I have, literally, all day to do a lot of reading and probably start writing my essay... starting it is always the hard part, so i'm gonna try hard to finish my reading and start it as soon as possible.
And i'll have to try and refrain from playing my new strategy computer game... doh!

Just back from another meeting for church. Also got my ticket to see the 8:30pm showing of 'The passion of the Christ' tonight with a group of folk from college, plus dad's coming too. I'm curious to see what they film is going to be like...

Anyway, I suppose I should try doing some more work before dad gets here...

Was at Castlemilk for my first night at the Tuesday evening youth club last night and I had a great time. Rough kids, and their language was appaulling, but I guess that's just how they are. Was a good night though.
My friend just got her first official warning about watching her TV without a license... Can I just point out that she's not... stupid TV Licensing people. Annyyyway... Got quite a few things to do today before my dad comes to take me out for food... oh the joys... and the essay I have for next Tuesday, despite my best efforts in willing it on, doesn't seem to be writing itself amongst all my busyness... lovely.
Ah well, stuff to do I guess.

The resources at the youth complex were amazing... i hope they realise just how lucky they are in Castlemilk to have such a great facility... anyway i need food!

Had a MAD day yesterday... was at church early to prepare for a special meeting for the over 14's group in the church. Was a successful meeting, and I had to write up a report on it when I got home from a day at church eventually at 9pm last night.
Bee arrived back at the flat on Saturday night and it's been so good to have her around again, and of course she made a grande entrance to the music of 'pretty woman' - hehehehe (it's her song ;-) )
Oooooooooh and we had a beetle drive at church on Saturday night too. That was amusing!!!!! Hehehe... although i DID get a little freaked out when a lady I don't even remember SEEING before came up to me and said 'how are you this evening Linda?' If you don't remember names, but you've seen faces, then that's not as weird as a total stranger coming up to you (and i might add not even introducing themselves, which made me panic as to whether i had spoken to her before).., oh well...
*NEWS FLASH* - I had to go without my phone for a grand total of 14 hours (most of which i was sleeping - but still!!!!) and I hope it never happens again, well not in the near future at least... I think i'll be doing that back-up thing on my mac that my dad told me about last night... I missed my phone :-(

Got it back now though - hehehehe

BTW come on guys, I know you read my blog... how about some comments?!?

Had a nice long sleep... I now have 101 things to do, but I guess I'm not bothered... One of the Ugandan guys had a Children's African's Choir tape on in the lounge last night - soooooooo cool... it was the songs from the very first time I ever went along to see them... I could only have been around 9 or 10!!! Good memories though.
Oh yeah... and i got a phonecall just before 11am... uh... Mum... remember you're not SUPPOSED to open your mother's day card before mother's day *rollls eyes*... ANYWAY...
hehe.

Oh my goodness... today has escaped from beneath me... it's been one of those days when I haven't had time to sit down for two minutes, but still don't seem have to have gotten much done - grrrrrrrrrrr... I got a heap of books out this morning for the next essay, but not managed to read anything yet - argh!
Been surfing for mac games, but am refusing to pay the huge prices, when I know i could quite easily get the pc version for half price if not a quarter of the price.. it's really appaulling!
Anyway - i suppose i had better go and have some food... was meant to be going to the cinema tonight - but since time has got away from me, i doubt I'll be doing that anymore... oh well

Feeling a little cooler this morning. BUt i think that i'm going to be keeping out of the way for a little while, to avoid an outburst to various people along the lines of my last post... ah well, I have yet another 2000 word essay to complete anyway I guess, and a plan to do for Sunday morning, so I guess I should be busy enough anyway.
Truthfully, living in community is something which I love, and I know for a fact that I'd rather be here than in a flat on my own, but the arrogance and insensitivity of various people is really unbelievable sometimes.

I'm pretty miffed right now... no in fact I'm actually brewing with anger to be honest. Living in community has it's up's and down's, but living in a Christian community, although contrary to popular belief, has it's moments when it's even worse than living with non-christians (morally and ethically). In fact i think i'd go as far to say that my life would be a lot simpler if I WERE staying with non-Christians, at least that way you don't necessarily have certain Christian expectations to be met i.e. manners and respect (not that they're exclusively Christian, but then since i'm no brain box, I can hardly comment, can i...). It just angers me to see how some people behave, and then don't even have remorse for it, depsite the fact that they know it's wrong. Is it just me, or does Jesus tell us to treat others as we'd like to be treated... Love others as we love ourselves... Forgive us our debts as we forgive our debters?!?! I know no-one is perfect, but sometimes, I just wonder if these scripture passages actually MEAN anything to the majority of Christians, because they certainly don't seem to be sorry when they twig that they're not quite being fair. No wonder half of the world think that Christian's are hypocrites - we give them plenty of ammo!

Well i think i've finally done it!!! I think I may just have managed to finish my community audit - AT LAST! Although i have to say they're mad expecting us to do that huge amount of working for a stupid little 5 credit module (they're normally 10 -15 credits). But oh well... at least it's done. Let's just hope my lecturer likes my work, because if he doesn't then i might just cry after the amount of work i've put into it, especially over the past 4 days!!!!

Ah well... i think i might go and get some dinner soon.

WHeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee... My computer came yesterday - so all is good... except the slight little problem that I don't have mircosoft word yet so I can't type my essay up on it - d'oh! Hopefully dad's taking it down next week though... Up to 2000 words on the essay, but most of the stuff I have left to do is the fiddly stuff, so i expect that will take a bit of time to do, but I have all day to do it - so the pressure has eased slightly...
Went to the cinema last night to see Mona Lisa Smile... Was a very good film, I'd recommend it any time. Julia Roberts always seems to pick decent films to be in!

Emily (my cousin's baby) is soooooooooooooooooooooo cute!!!!!!! Got to go and see her on Saturday and she was the prettiest baby! Then we meet up with my other cousins etc, and we all went bowling and then went out for dinner before delivering me back onto the train - was a great day! Plus I've finally finished HP5!!! *YAY*!!! BUt that now means that I have to wait for HP6 to come out - When will that be i wonder??!?!?!?!
Anyway - was up early this morning, so that I could have a meeting with my tutor at 9am - what fun! SO i'm now up and wide awake having had the meeting and i'm about to head upstairs to do some more work on my report for Thursday - thankfully I managed to get a bit done last night... i'm sure i'll get there eventually!

But i went along to Philip's coffee morning this morning and it was good. Saw a lot of people i can't have seen for almost 2 years! Was good though - i think they're gonna have a great tour in Spain...
I will be heading off to Aberdeen soon though. Perhaps do a little bit of shopping before I head back down to Glasgow early this evening - It's been a lovely break from college. But now i've got a mountain to get through in the next few days - ARGH!

well today has been an easy day. I haven't so much as looked at a book for my course... which is realxing, but on the other hand I still have a 2500 report due on Thursday which has to be done whether i like it or not. At least I won't have college on Tuesday, so that's an extra day to get it done!

But the GREATTTTT news is that my eldest cousin has brought the first great grandchild into the world. So it's all very exciting. Her name is Emily. I'm sorta hoping I'll get to go and visit mother and child before I head back to Glasgow tomorrow, but we'll see what happens!

Powerbook update - I have no idea where my new powerbook currently is... But i'm hoping it'll arrive at the college at the beginning of next week! yeeeeeha!

Oh... and the internet connection here at home is sooooooo slow!!! Come broadband, get a move on!

Could have been a nightmare night!!!! 3 of my young folk didn't turn up to music group tonight for some reason... said they were coming yesterday - i just hope nothing bad has happened. well... yesterday started early... was up and out of the flat by 9:30am.... and I didn't get home until 10:30pm (yes that be THIRTEEN HOURS!!!!!!!!!!!!) BUt having said that, despite the persistant presence of a stinker of a headache, it was quite a good day.
The music group played for the first time ever at church yesterday morning - all were very nervous - and tbh the first 2 bars were soooooooooooooo bad - but they got themselves back on track and sounded amazing when they got the confidence! (which i think is more impressive).
Then we were in Bible class, and I opened with an ice breaker, passed onto Wilma, and she's meant to take the class until 12:15pm (which is around 45 mins) but she decided to finish at 11:45 and said, 'that's me finished' and then looked at me as if she expected me to turn into a clown entertainer or something again... so there we go, I'm a young people's entertainer - doh!
Then i was out for lunch with a member of the congregation which was very nice - pity about the headache though - and we went for a walk around the water works - lovely day for it too...
and then at night, after the church service, me a parent and a couple of older youth headed down to Cathcart (i discovered that Andrews map reading skills are pants!) and it was like the blind leading the blind... hehehe... but we got there evenutally and with 15mins to spare - impressive!!!!!
Catalyst, yet again, was amazing - really feel at home there, coz i connect with the worship and the speakers are always relevent and good! I think the others enjoyed it too - i'm sure i'll find out if they felt otherwise in the next while....
BUt i have to say if GOING to catalyst wasn't eventful, then coming back was!!!!! We were backtracking, wehn all of a sudden Anne decides to take a right.... ( which results in us almost having to go into a car park... then we sorta got lost in back streets and almost ended up in ANOTHER carpark... then we almost ended up in ANOTHER carpark... strang attraction that ;-)
Anyway - so I is very tired today........
Proof being... I was just walking past the reception just now to be greeted by Gwen, who said... 'you look like a tired little beaver... been trying to build too many damns?' *ho ho ho ho ho* - very funny...
tee hee....

i'm up............................ well it's difficult not to be when people are at the other end of the corridor, IN their kitchen and I can STILL hear loud enough to wake me up (and this was before 8:30am, so I feel I have reason to complain)... and these were also members of the kitchen which caused the alarm to go off last night - which BTW none of them are admitting too. All 6 members have been asked if it was their chicken which was left in the grill unattended, and every one of them said no. 2 of them had had food and were in the lounge watching TV when it went off, so IMHO they're off the hook, and 3 of them were out of the building. Leaving one poor soul, who rejects responsibility. With people like that around we might one day have a REAL fire - eeeeeeeeeeeeeek.
*end rant*

Anyway - ended up with headache of the century yesterday, so i didn't get any of my essay done - so i've got today and Monday left... i'd better get my skates on!

ooooooooooooops - yet another fire alarm... just back in now - one of the Burundi boys left chicken in the oven without shutting the door and opening the window etc... so our corridor is stinking again - i think this is the 9th fire alarm in as many months... (though at least 7 were electrical faults) - we're building quite a reputation here *rolls eyes*

Having said that though - the young people did a sketch last night called 'what is worship' and they were well funny!!! And they're determined to do it at church some week... I personally don't think we'd get away with it, coz it looks at the different perspectives on worship, and I think that a lot of people would feel uncomfortable, would be funny though *heheheh*

I finished HP4 last night - very goooooooooood read... and of course started HP5 - which is looking good already, although I was very tired last night so I didn't read a lot of it.
BUt of course the highlight of yesterday was dad coming to visit, and taking me out to pizza hit for foooooooooood *YAY* (also brought me a cappo - yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesssssssssssssssss!)... Think i'm going to have to buy me a guitar after I buy my computer - that's the next big buy I think.

Well i had a busy, yet sort relaxing day yesterday. Left the flat at 10am and didn't return until 8pm and severely shattered (but still managed to squeeze in some reading for NT class - but lot interest very quickly). Church choir are singing for Good Friday - and they sound fabulous.... harmonies always make the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end....... plus the young folk and I managed to keep the giggles at bay yesterday and avoid giggling constantly through the service which was nice.... HAve also hopefully organised for the first visit of a couple of my older youth to go to Catalyst next SUnday night. Here's hoping they enjoy it... although It does meant that i'll be out the door at 10am and not back until probably around 11:30pm... woops! Over 13 of my 20 hour week gone... just like that. BUt i'm going to the organists for lunch on Sunday, so that should be nice...... It's all good....
